This one is special. My friend Keisha Pagdilao and her family unfortunately lost their generational family home in Lahaina, Maui back in August of 2023. It's easy when you're not directly impacted, to move on from major events like the Maui Fires. In the meantime, the people effected by these events are left months and years later still trying to pick up the pieces.
The people of Lahaina, including Keisha and her family, will continue to need support. If you ever visit Hawaii/Maui and appreciate its beauty, please consider donating to her gofundme or continuing your support in other ways.

Keisha asked me to create this to honor Lahaina’s beauty and strength that she's always known. And to gift to her twin sister, who fought the fires as a Maui Firefighter and continues to carry an undeserved burden of guilt. Sometimes life can be incredibly challenging and unpredictable. Keisha's story serves as a direct example of the devastating impact that natural disasters can have on families and communities.
Keisha's dedication though to honoring Lahaina and Lahainaluna High School (that’s the “L” you see on the mountain) is a testament to her love for her community and her unwavering spirit. I’m so happy I was asked to do this, because while it’s easy to create art for places I love… Creating art for places other people cherish is a responsibility I enjoy and take very seriously. Many hugs and continued support to the people of Maui. ❤️🩹
